Different layers of Earth

Earth can be divided into three main layers:-

1. The Crust

2. The mantle

3. The core

Earth has a core which is the innermost layer of it and is divided into two distinct parts i.e the inner core and the outer core. Both the parts consist of Iron and Nickel. The inner core is incredibly hot and is in the solid state while the outer core is in the liquid state.

On the top of the outer core, the mantle is present which is divided into upper mantle and lower mantle.  The lower mantle is completely solid while the upper mantle is in a liquid state.

The crust is the outer layer where we live. The thickness is around 0-60 km. This outermost layer is made of lightest materials such as rocks and granites
