Capacity

Capacity is the measurement to determine how much space is occupied by a thing.

There are various types of equipment and units to measure capacity. It is also known as volume.

Non Standard unit: Non-standard units are the units which are not frequently used as they bound to change from time to time and from person to person. 

Standard unit: Units which are widely accepted because they remain same over time and from person to person. E.g. milliliter, litre etc

Things to remember:

  1. Small volumes are measured in millilitre like medicine dosages.
  2. Water bottles are generally of 1 litre.
