You must have noticed the changes that occurs in the sky up above. During day it is blue in colour whereas at night we can see the moon and millions of twinkling stars gazing upon us. What causes these changes we observe within a day?

We see the different heavenly bodies in the sky and some of those are mentioned below.

Sun- The Sun is the biggest and closest star to us in our solar system. It rises in the east and sets in the west. The shape it possesses is round and is very big and hot. The Sun gives us light and heat.

Moon- The Moon we witness in the  night only  changes its shape every night. It doesn't possess any light of its own. In the full moon night, it looks like a ball.

Star- The numerous small- twinkling objects in the sky at night are nothing but the stars. They are at a very long distance from us, that is why they seem very small to us.

Our solar system consists of the Sun and 8 planets- Mercury, Venus, Earth, Mars, Jupiter, Saturn,Uranus Neptune.
