Weight

Weight is the measurement to determine how heavy a thing is. It is also called as mass.

There are various types of equipment and units to measure mass.

Non Standard unit: Non-standard units are the units which are not frequently used as they bound to change from time to time and from person to person. 

Standard unit: Units which are widely accepted because they remain same over time and from person to person. E.g. gram, kilogram etc

Things to remember:

  1. Light objects are measured in milligram or grams. E.g. length of a pencil will be in centimeters.
  2. Heavy objects are measured in kilograms.
  3. Very heavy objects are measures in tonnes.
