Seasonal clothes :

Summer season:
Cotton fabric is light, water absorbent and permeable. It allows air to pass through it easily and absorbs sweat. They are the perfect choice for summer clothes.

Rainy season:
Plastic and rubber are waterproof that’s why raincoats are made from plastic or rubber.

Winter season:
Woollen clothes are preferred for winters. Wool is derived from sheep, goats and fur of rabbits.

Fibres, fabrics and clothes

Natural fibres: Natural fibres are obtained from natural sources like plants and animals.
Plants give us cotton, linen and jute.
Animals give us silk and wool. Linen is a natural fibre obtained from fibres of the flax plant.
Jute is used in making bags, mats, rugs, ropes and sacks.

* Paper bags and jute bags are environment-friendly as they are made from natural resources and are biodegradable.

Synthetic fibres (or man-made fibres): Synthetic fabrics are textiles made from artificial fibres made by man rather than natural fibres. Synthetic fabrics are generally derived from coal and petroleum. Examples of synthetic fabrics include polyester, acrylic, nylon, rayon etc.

* Synthetic fibres have low melting temperature and they can be damaged easily by heat thus we should avoid them from high temperatures.
