Types of pollutions:
A) Air pollution
B) Soil pollution
C) Water pollution
D) Noise pollution

 

Air pollution

Causes:

  • Smoke from factories
  • Smoke emissions from vehicles
  • Smoke produced by burning waste materials

Effects:

Air pollution can cause respiratory system diseases like Asthma. Air pollution is also harmful to eyes and vision.

 

Water Pollution

Causes:

  • Chemical wastes from factories draining into river
  • Open defecation
  • Animals bathing in ponds

Effects:

Water pollution can lead to diseases associated with digestive system like dysentery, diarrhea, cholera and polio.

 

Soil Pollution

Causes:

  • usage of excessive pesticides by farmers.
  • excessive usages of non-biodegradable products.

Effects:

Crops produced in the polluted soil will have less nutritional value and will be harmful to health.

 

Noise Pollution

Annoying, unpleasant and loud sounds cause noise pollution. They can have a negative impact on our health. e.g. Honking of horns.
