Cyclone

Cyclones are stormy atmospheric systems that are capable of causing massive destruction of life and property both. They are caused due to instability in atmospheric conditions. According to the region and severity of stormy conditions, these storms may be referred to as typhoons or hurricanes.

Hurricane

Hurricanes are a type of tropical cyclones that also have the potential of causing massive destruction due to their high winds, rain and floods. They initiate over the sea and move towards the land. Usually, they lose the intensity on reaching land as the very source of their energy is moisture rising from the sea.
